With the goal of conducting broad discussions from a global perspective on important policy issues such as non-performing loans, finance and deflation, the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) has continuously held international conferences since 2001, with the cooperation of institutes such as NBER (National Bureau of Economic Research) of the United States.

This time, experts with extensive academic experience were invited from the United States and Australia to engage in lively discussions with Japanese intellectuals to deepen the examination of the changes in Japan's economic policy and the recovery of the Japanese economy focusing on Japan's fiscal and monetary policies and so forth.
